I Can't Keep Quiet

There are times when we can't stop shouting because of the situation we find ourselves in. Some two men found themselves in this situation some years ago. These men were blind but very wise. They heard about a Man who could help them regain their sight.

So they started shouting out His name. The people around them told them to be quiet but they even shouted the more. They were heard by the Man they put their faith in, and that day, they went home seeing.

Matthew 20:30-34

30 And behold, two blind men sitting by the road, when they heard that Jesus was passing by, cried out, saying, “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!”

31 Then the multitude warned them that they should be quiet; but they cried out all the more, saying, “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!”

32 So Jesus stood still and called them, and said, “What do you want Me to do for you?

33 They said to Him, “Lord, that our eyes may be opened.” 34 So Jesus had compassion and touched their eyes. And immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him.

We sometimes find ourselves in situations where we have to shout for help but, because of intimidation from others, we keep quiet.

Today let us learn from the two blind men whose story was recorded in Matthew 20. Let us cry out to God, our Help in any circumstance we find ourselves in, and He will surely hear our cry like He did in the days of the two blind men.
