Nuggets of Wisdom for Life.

Many times, in life, we need some nuggets of wisdom to guide us through our journey. Today, the following pieces were selectively handed over to me by a sage man I know.

The words of wisdom are found in the following 4 scriptures:

 The first, Daniel chapter 1 and chapter 2 narrates how the people of Jerusalem were sent to Babylon by King Nebuchadnezzar and he chose among them the nobles, kings’ descendants, young men in whom no blemish was, wise, had understanding, and were able to serve in the king’s palace. Amongst the chosen were the Hebrew boys Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. The Bible says in Daniel 1:17, “As for these four young men, God gave them knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams”. In the second chapter, Daniel narrated the king's dream by divine word of wisdom from God, and it landed him in a promotion.

The second, is Proverbs 22:29; Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before unknown men”.

The third, John 11:9- 16, begins with an important statement Jesus made, “Aren’t there 12 hours of daylight? Anyone who walks in the daytime will not stumble, for they see by the world light, it is when a person walks at night that they stumble, for they have no light. The continuation of this portion of scripture narrates the story of the death of Lazarus and how Jesus made it known to His disciples.

The fourth, Ecclesiastes 3, is a narration of many activities done on Earth and the fact that the is a time for everything under the sun.

 These are the words of wisdom I obtained from the following scriptures, which I deem right to share with you.

1.       Have an excellent spirit; In all we do, we must have a vision to excel. We can pray to God for grace to work diligently without distractions, desire to achieve this goal, and work towards achieving it.

2.       A time for everything; We must not spend all our lives doing just one thing and forgetting all the other things that are to be done. We must apportion our time effectively to cover all the important things we have to do in our daily schedules.

3.       Death is inevitable; There will come a time when all our activities on earth will cease. This is known as death. It can happen at any time so let us ensure that we know where we will spend eternity by totally surrendering our lives unto God and asking Jesus to dwell in our hearts as our Lord and Personal Savior. Let us also pray for grace to achieve our lifetime purposes before this time to depart is due.

I hope these words of wisdom guide you as you journey through life.

We will exist forever...

When I was little, I used to think about eternity and the state of never dying to the point of getting gripped with fear. It has always been my desire to find out more about the life ahead after physical death and of course, it is the truth I always looked out for.     I read and listened to many teachings. Being exactly who I am: Who am I not to shine? This is the third installment of my series Being Exactly Who I Am, where I talk about the need for us to shine. Reflecting on how we spend our days. Many times in life, we are asked to account for the time we spent in a particular place and how we used that time. It may be at work, school, or even at church. But what about our total time spent in this life? Can we account for each day? Are we even aware of how we should spend our days? Confronting the Wickedness of Lynching

"Embracing Divine Light: "God's Unconditional Love, Even in the Darkest Hours of Injustice"   The love of many has grown cold. Yesterday, I was in a library on campus when, not too far from me, a man was being brutally beaten to death for stealing a phone. Around 30 men gathered around him and showed no mercy. I was unaware of this incident until I returned to my hostel. Upon hearing about it, I couldn't help but wonder how some people could reach such levels of wickedness. How could individuals willingly allow themselves to be used by the devil to the point where they no longer feel compassion for the person they are killing? The words of God in Matthew 24:12 are relevant: "And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold." Those who perpetrate acts of wickedness towards their fellow human beings often fail to empathize with them, as the Bible states in Matthew 7:12, "So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do

Purpose In Life.

Walk in your purpose. Many people are unaware of their purpose in life. Often, individuals find themselves asking, "What exactly am I on earth for?" Let's start with a few fundamental facts. No human being created themselves; we are all brought into this world by God, our Creator, who has a specific reason for our existence. However, many individuals have yet to discover their life's purpose or are living in contradiction to it. Blood for blood?

Should he who sheds man's blood face his blood being shed by man? Another incident occurred yesterday. A master's student was returning from evening lectures and took a dark path, where he encountered robbers. They attempted to rob him, but he resisted. Unfortunately, the robbers pushed him into an oncoming vehicle, resulting in his death. Now, the question arises: should these individuals be killed when apprehended? The Bible states in the Old Testament that, Genesis 9:6, "Whoever sheds human blood, by humans shall their blood be shed." What about our current day? In the New Testament day and age. Did Jesus ever support mob Justice? No. Previously, I wrote about lynching, and I stated clearly that lynching is wrong.     There is a distinct difference between a thief who steals bread or a phone and a robber armed with a knife or machete, intending to steal, kill, and destroy. My talent - Your Glory

 Talents from God. God has blessed us humans with talents out of the abundance of His love and Power. As stated in an earlier post, God has given His beloved diversities of talents. These are to portray the wonders of God and to honor Him. God deserves all the glory. When we blossom with our talents, we must not take the credit. Our attitude should always be: Glory be to God! (Philippians 4:13), Him -Our God is our Source and our Help. Don’t fail to cultivate your talent. Many people are good at some things but need to pay attention to them. This is not the plan God had when he put it in us. We must not neglect the numerous talents God has given us. At a point in time in my life, I focused on only one thing, my formal education, and ignored all the numerous talents God had blessed me with.
