How To Be A Wise Virgin

The Bible teaches us that amongst those expecting the Bridegroom; Jesus, there are some that are wise and some that are foolish. The story is told by Jesus Himself as He termed these Christians as 10 virgins.

In the narration, 5 of them took extra oil for their lambs and the other 5 did not. As they went to meet the Bridegroom, they slumbered and slept because He delayed. At midnight, the was a cry announcing the arrival of the bridegroom.

(Matthew 25)  7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ 9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.

The oil signifies the word of God and the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Initially, the virgins had some oil in their lamps, so they were able to use it for a while. Some took extra, and the others did not take extra. This is what distinguished the wise from the foolish; those who made it from those who could not make it.

We are admonished in1 Thessalonians 5:19, not to quench the Fire of the Holy Spirit. How do we quench the fire? By drifting into the things of the world and doing things that will grieve the Spirit of God (Ephesians 4:30). Beloved, the Lord desires to have a deep and affectionate close-knit relationship with us His people, even more than we could ever desire.

As God calls us in James 4:8, for a closer walk, let us draw near to God that we will obtain mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

"Embracing Divine Light: "God's Unconditional Love, Even in the Darkest Hours of Injustice"   The love of many has grown cold. Yesterday, I was in a library on campus when, not too far from me, a man was being brutally beaten to death for stealing a phone. Around 30 men gathered around him and showed no mercy. I was unaware of this incident until I returned to my hostel. Upon hearing about it, I couldn't help but wonder how some people could reach such levels of wickedness. How could individuals willingly allow themselves to be used by the devil to the point where they no longer feel compassion for the person they are killing? Walk in your purpose. Many people are unaware of their purpose in life. Often, individuals find themselves asking, "What exactly am I on earth for?" Let's start with a few fundamental facts. No human being created themselves; we are all brought into this world by God, our Creator, who has a specific reason for our existence. Blood for blood?

Should he who sheds man's blood face his blood being shed by man? Another incident occurred yesterday. A master's student was returning from evening lectures and took a dark path, where he encountered robbers. They attempted to rob him, but he resisted. Unfortunately, the robbers pushed him into an oncoming vehicle, resulting in his death. Now, the question arises: should these individuals be killed when apprehended? The Bible states in the Old Testament that, Genesis 9:6, "Whoever sheds human blood, by humans shall their blood be shed." What about our current day? In the New Testament day and age. Did Jesus ever support mob Justice? No. Previously, I wrote about lynching, and I stated clearly that lynching is wrong.     There is a distinct difference between a thief who steals bread or a phone and a robber armed with a knife or machete, intending to steal, kill, and destroy. My talent - Your Glory

 Talents from God. God has blessed us humans with talents out of the abundance of His love and Power. As stated in an earlier post, God has given His beloved diversities of talents. These are to portray the wonders of God and to honor Him. God deserves all the glory. When we blossom with our talents, we must not take the credit. Our attitude should always be: Glory be to God! (Philippians 4:13), Him -Our God is our Source and our Help. Don’t fail to cultivate your talent. Many people are good at some things but need to pay attention to them. This is not the plan God had when he put it in us. We must not neglect the numerous talents God has given us.
