Hot for who?

Image
Many of us are passionate, but for whom do you burn? Here are two scriptures from the Bible that convey my message. “They are all hot like an oven And they have devoured their judges All their kings have fallen None among them calls upon me” Hosea chapter 7:7. God said in Revelations 3:15-16, “I know your works that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish you were hot or cold. 16) So then because you are lukewarm and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of my mouth. “For our God is a consuming fire” Hebrews 12:29. If we have the Lord within us, we will be ignited for Him. Not the kind of fire that consumes, but rather the kind that purifies our lives and eliminates the unnecessary. In the book of Hosea, it is mentioned that God spoke to Hosea and he prophesied against God's people who had become obsessed with idols and hence, had defiled themselves. However, God's word also instructs us to be 'hot'. This might lead us to question if different types of fires burn wi

Today, let's take a trip down memory lane. While going through some old chats, I remembered an incident from a few years ago. During my first year of university, I had a roommate who had a strong dislike towards me. One day, I left the door to our kitchen open and she started insulting and belittling me, calling me a witch. However, I chose to take the high road and retaliate in a kind manner. I decided to give her a gift. So that night, when all my other roommates were in, I gave her the gift.  It was a message from God. I preached in the room to all my roommates and I realized that she wanted to go out immediately I started but she changed her mind and sat on her bed. My gift and message was simple- Jesus. I told them all that Jesus came to die for us so that we would be delivered from our sins and come back to God. I also stated that God wants us to surrender totally unto Him so that He would help us to live our lives in the likeness of His Son Jesus, to please Him. That was i

Does your desire seem impossible?

I might seem like a motivational speaker in this post, but I will speak the truth. Today, for my quiet time I read some portions of scripture from the book of Daniel, and I was amazed all over again at the wonders that were performed in those times. There were three instances that from the human perspective seem impossible. Who can be thrown into the fire and not burn? Who can be placed in a den of hungry lions overnight and still be alive? Who can be transformed into an animal for 7 years and be retransformed into a human? Well, it happened in the time of Daniel. I would quote what Daniel said when he was about to narrate and interpret someone else’s dream which he received by divine knowledge, “ 27  Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, “The secret which the king has demanded, the wise  men,  the astrologers, the magicians, and the soothsayers cannot declare to the king.  28  But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and He has made known to King Nebuch

WHAT DO I DO WITH THE NEGATIVE THOUGHTS.

COMBATING NEGATIVE THOUGHTS WITH THE WORD OF GOD. Sometimes, when we receive instructions from God, the devil begins to implant negative thoughts into our minds to discourage us from doing it. The Lord gave me a secret weapon to combat those thoughts. We can use the following scriptures to pray against them. ‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭3:1‭-‬2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ [1] Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him. [2] And the Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭28:7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ [7] The Lord  is  my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him. ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭54:17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ [17] No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the ser

DON'T STOP

DON'T STOP Many of us have many aspirations but never put them into practice. But yesterday, I heard a message from God from a missionary called Dr. Yaw Perbi. He stated that in the bible, God told Abraham to go to a land where He would show him but Abraham stopped along the way in a town called Harran, before setting out to the promised land. (Acts 7:2-5). In the Bible, God had to scatter the people who were trying to build the tower of Babel by confusing their language,(Gen 11:5-8). This was because He had commanded them to multiply and fill the earth, not to settle in one place.  These are a few reasons why we should not settle when God has told us to be fruitful. 1. We have to act in obedience to God, (Deuteronomy 28:2) 2. The Almighty God is our source of strength, (Isaiah 26:4) 3. The Lord has deposited a lot of potential in each human being and He expects us to use it to His glory, (James 1:17) Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Fat

Touch Not My Anointed.

‭‭ I Chronicles‬ ‭16:22‭-‬36‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ [22] Saying,  “Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm.” [23] Sing to the Lord, all the earth; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.  [24] Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples. [25] For the Lord  is great and greatly to be praised; He is also to be feared above all gods. [26] For all the gods of the peoples are idols, But the Lord made the heavens.  [27] Honor and majesty are before Him; Strength and gladness are in His place. [28] Give to the Lord, O families of the peoples, Give to the Lord glory and strength. [29] Give to the Lord the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come before Him. Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness!  [30] Tremble before Him, all the earth. The world also is firmly established, It shall not be moved. [31] Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; And let them say among the nations, “The Lord reigns.”  [32] Let the sea roar, and

God Is Calling Unto You.

Our Father is a very loving King who is the creator of the whole Universe. He spoke and everything we see today came to life. We can just ponder on our mighty God until we are awed. Our God loves us and He created us and calls us His children. Unfortunately, many of us are not living in the fellowship God desired for us to live with Him before the inception of this earth. How does God want us to live in fellowship with Him? We were created to bring forth God’s praises and to live in perpetual worship towards Him. He desires that we have a Father and child relationship with Him our entire lives. God wants us to have fellowship with Him and take advantage of the fact that He is Omnipresent so we can dwell in His presence day and night, not only on Sundays or when we go to heaven. I have been pondering how interesting it will be to spend eternity in Heaven worshiping God when we don’t even have an hour with Him daily while we are on earth. Let us pray for grace to live according to
