Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

  Romans 8:1-8 NKJV

[1] There  is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. [2] For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. [3] For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, [4] that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. [5] For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who  live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. [6] For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. [7] Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. [8] So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

There is power in the blood of Jesus. Through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, salvation was given to all mankind. What do we see in the text today? We all need to be in Christ. It is not just enough to know about Him but there is a need to know Him and be known by Him.

There is no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus. To be in Christ means to believe in Him, confess Him as Lord of our lives, and be part of His flock. Jesus died for all men but when He returns someday, He is coming for His flock.

The text makes us understand that it is possible to be carnally minded which leads to death, and it is also possible to be spiritually minded which leads to life. "Jesus said My sheep hear my voice, and I know them and they follow me". John 10:27.

We also know in Romans 8:14 that,
"For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God."
In believing in Jesus, we obtain the free gift of salvation. Today's question is, "Are we being led by the Spirit of God? Do we hear the voice of Jesus? Are we living an obedient life holy and acceptable unto God?"

These are questions to ponder and prayerfully answer. Today, you might have heard the salvation message several times. But what about those who haven't heard? As a form of evangelism, share the gospel with your friends.

Thank you for reading and God bless you. Until next time, share the word of God to win a soul for the Lord today.
