The Oil
“And it shall come to pass afterward
That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your old men shall dream dreams,
Your young men shall see visions.
The promise of the Holy Spirit. Jesus also confirmed this promise in the book of John 14:16.
And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another [a]Helper, that He may abide with you forever—
The Holy Spirit is the gift God has given us in the form of
His Presence, which abides with us forever. In the word of God, Jesus called Him
our Helper, the Spirit of truth, Our Comforter, Guide, Deliverer, and Healer. In
as much as we have the promise of the gift of the Holy Spirit, we cannot be
distant from and receive the fullness of His glory. We are to build a close relationship
with the Holy Spirit.
I often ponder on the marvelous work of the Holy Spirit
during the time of the Apostles and the time of the great revivals we have heard
of. How did these people receive a great manifestation of the Spirit of the
Living God? We must yearn for the outpour of the Anointing and Infilling of the
Holy Spirit daily. This is our promise from God and, He is ever ready to fulfill
it.
