Spread the Word.
Matthew 28:18-20. And Jesus came and spoke to them
saying, “All authority has been given unto me in Heaven and on earth, Go therefore
and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have
taught you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
This is a command to all the disciples of Christ. One can
ask, “When do I qualify to be a disciple of Jesus?” One is a disciple of Jesus if
they have received Jesus into their lives as their Lord and personal Savior and
are following the Lord. This command to spread the gospel is not only to the
Pastors, Apostles, Teachers, Prophets, and Evangelists but to all who profess
Christ Jesus as Lord.
If the gospel had not been spread by the early church, many
Christians today would still be lost in darkness. God has given us this mandate
because many are still in darkness and need to know about Christ
Jesus.
The Bible tells us in Romans 10:13 that, “For whoever calls on
the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Then continues by
saying,
14 How
then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed?
And how shall they
believe in Him of whom they have not heard?
And how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent?
As it is written:
“How beautiful are the feet of those who [a]preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring glad tidings of good things!”
This is a call to us all; let us preach the word of God to
depopulate hell and populate Heaven. Amen.
