Laboring in God's farm.
Jesus made a prayerful statement in
Matthew 9:37-38 NKJV
[37] Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is
plentiful, but the laborers are few.
[38] Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into
His harvest.”
In this chapter, Jesus was healing the sick, raising the
dead, opening the eyes of the blind and Jesus saw that the people were
scattered like sheep without a shepherd, and He was moved with compassion for
them. Then Jesus told His disciples to pray to God the Father for more laborers
to be sent into the harvest to reap more souls for God, heal the sick, raise
the dead, cast out demons, and guide His people.
God desires to use as many people as possible in His harvest but it boils down to our availability for Him to use us. How do we make ourselves available to God? By giving Him our all which includes our time and submitting our will to God.
The Bible says in Romans 12:1 that we should present ourselves as living sacrifices holy and acceptable unto God, which is our reasonable service. So He the potter can break, remold, and use us for His glory. The Bible touches on the nature a workman of God must internalize.
This day, let us pray for grace to be used by the Lord for His glory in Jesus' Name, Amen.
