How Believers Can Be Hot In The Spirit.

Spiritual hotness was mentioned in the book of Revelations 3:15-16, “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.” Spiritual hotness in the Lord can be attained by first confessing with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believing that God raised Him from the dead and secondly, by putting on the full amour of God. How do we put on the full amour of God? The Bible says, we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. It goes on to say we should take on the whole amour of God, to be able to withstand the devil. The full armor comprises our spiritual weapons in the Christian faith. Eph 6:10-14:

1.       Gird your waist with truth; John 14:6 ‘Jesus said to him, “I am the way the truth and the light, no one comes to the Father, except through me.”’

2.       Put on the breastplate of righteousness; Romans 9:30 NIV [30] What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith;

3.       Shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Isaiah 52:7 NKJV How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

4.       Take the shield of faith; Galatians 3:11 NKJV “But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.”

5.       Take the helmet of Salvation; Revelation 19:1 NKJV “After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, “Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God!”

6.       Take the sword of the spirit; Hebrews 4:12 NKJV “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

7.       Praying always; 1 Thessalonians 5:17 NIV “pray continually,”

8.       Being watchful to this end with all Perseverance; Mark 14:38 NIV “ Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
