Faithfulness To God : Fear Him and keep His Word.

Image
TEXT FOR TODAY - Isaiah 8:11-13 NIV [11] This is what the Lord says to me with his strong hand upon me, warning me not to follow the way of this people: [12] “Do not call conspiracy everything this people calls a conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it. [13] The Lord Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy, he is the one you are to fear, he is the one you are to dread. Scripture Reference A conspiracy is a secret plan by a group to do something  unlawful  or harmful. In today's verse, God admonishes His people not to follow after people blindly but rather to seek God and fear him.  Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 echoes this point beautifully.  [13] Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind. [14] For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil. Scripture Reference   Have a Holy Spirit filled day.  ...

Faithfulness to God

Scripture reading : Habakkuk 2 Habakkuk 2:2-5 ESV [2] And the Lord answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. [3] For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay. [4] “Behold, his soul is puffed up; it is not upright within him, but the righteous shall live by his faith. [5] “Moreover, wine is a traitor, an arrogant man who is never at rest. His greed is as wide as Sheol; like death he has never enough. He gathers for himself all nations and collects as his own all peoples.” https://bible.com/bible/59/hab.2.2-5.ESV Faith in God is what keeps us going in life. More also what keeps us after life on earth.  As for those that put their faith in anything other than God, in verse 18 and 19 God Himself says "Woe unto them". After faith in God, we need to pray for the spirit of faithfulness unto Him. The word of God emphasises the ...

Under God's shadow.

Image
Psalms 91:1 NKJV [1] He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. https://bible.com/bible/114/psa.91.1.NKJV Today, in my Bible study, I learnt that those who stay in God's presence will be kept safe under the shadow of His wings and feathers. I asked myself the question. Where is God's secret place and what does it mean to abide there? Almost immediately, God placed the answers in my spirit. Dilligently spending quality time with God in obedience to His will is dwelling in His secret place. Today it is my prayer that, God will train us to dwell in His secret place, every day of our lives, Amen. God bless you. Please share.

God cares about all men.

You might wonder why God doesn't save all those going through terrible times since He can. Some people have even left the faith because they wanted God to save their loved ones who were suffering and that didn't happen. Some people even think because they don't see relief from their pain, God doesn't care about them. God does. God is willing to deliver the oppressed and those appointed to die.  Psalm 79:11 (NKJV) "Let the groaning of the prisoner come before You; According to the greatness of Your power, Preserve those who are appointed to die."  This verse brings to mind all the people on earth suffering and dying. But think beyond that. God would not want you to suffer eternally. The present temporal suffering on Earth will be translated into a glorious eternity with God. The fact that you are suffering on earth doesn't mean God doesn't love you. He does. I am confident that the Lord wants the best for us that is why He has made provision for a glor...

God is my Refuge and Strength.

Photo by Nina Uhlikova Bible Reading - Psalm 46. Psalm 46:1-2 God is my refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. And therefore, I will not fear, Even though the earth be moved, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea. I observed four points Psalm 46. Point 1 - God is our help (vs 1-3) 1. God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. 2. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea.       .   3.  Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge! Interlude Point 2 - God inhabits places. (vs 4-5) 4. A river brings joy to the city of our God,   the sacred home of the Most High. 5. God dwells in that city; it cannot be destroyed. From the very break of day, God will protect it. Point 3 - God’s power revealed. (vs 6-9) 6. The nations are in chaos, and their kingdoms crumble. God’s voice thunders, and ...

Light Has Come, Burdens are Lifted.

Image
Bible reading - Isaiah 9.  Isaiah 9:2 NKJV [2] The people who walked in darkness Have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them a light has shined. Scripture reference The light of the world has come. This passage spoke of Jesus the Saviour of the world and His work on earth. The good news is that, Jesus came to save all flesh. Now there are many who are still lost because, they have not believed in the only Begotten Son of God and His work of salvation. It is my prayer that, all those who don't know Christ as their Saviour will find Him as they have the opportunity now, in Jesus Name. God bless you.

Come and join the remenant train.

Salvation of the remenant in the last days. Bible reading - Isaiah 11 Isaiah 11:10 NLT [10] In that day the heir to David’s throne will be a banner of salvation to all the world. The nations will rally to him, and the land where he lives will be a glorious place. https://bible.com/bible/116/isa.11.10.NLT     In today's scripture, the Lord talks about Jesus Christ through whom we obtain salvation and the how the Spirit of God is upon Him.     We learn that a time will come where God will bring people back to Himself through Jesus Christ. A revenant will return to the Lord and they shall be saved.     The Lord wants all people to be a part of His remenant. Let us pray for all those who have gone astray to return to the Lord.     To return to the Lord, we need to accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour and surrender our lives to the Lord to guide. Pray and ask for forgiveness of sins and let us return unto the Lord.
